Georg Decker: A Girl feeding Chickens and Pigeons, 1855

Georg Decker (1818-1894) was an Austro-Hungarian portrait artist. Born in Hungary to a German-speaking family, he grew up and made his career in Vienna, where he taught painting as well as working as a portrait and historical artist. Appointed as a knight of the Order of Franz Joseph, Decker became a renowned portraitist of Vienna's highest society.
